Qualified applicants for this opportunity will possess
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting a plus
  • 3+ years of experience
  • Ability to plan, initiate and complete work assignments with minimum direction
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel AS 400 accounting software
  • Good verbal and communication skills, and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others

    A Leading Company located in Middlesex County, New Jersey has an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk

    Duties
  • Accurately enter invoices in system, coding invoices in accordance with GL codification
  • Ensure invoice and expense forms are properly reviewed and approved as required
  • Maintain vendor master file
  • Generate computerized checks
  • Prioritize payment selection based on cash availability
  • Pay vendors in a timely manner within payment terms
  • Enter manual checks written by other departments
  • Resolve billing and payment issues with vendors
  • Maintain filing system for paid and pending invoices
  • Prepare reports and other information as requested
