Well-known area construction firm is in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist.
The Accounts Payable specialist is responsible for organizing and inputting invoices; coding invoices; processing expense reports; submitting invoices for approval for payment; making copies and attaching to invoices; filing; reports directly to the accounting manager for approvals; process lien waivers for sub contractors and others; runs weekly job cost reports; responds to vendor calls and emails; maintains and reviews vendor files and prepares year end 1099's; and other projects as assigned.
Position requires previous experience in construction office or similar environment, excellent organizational skills and accuracy; 2 year degree is preferred but equivalent relevant experience is also acceptable; Timberline software and AIA familiarity is a plus; excellent verbal and written communication skills; high customer service mentality; MS Word, Excel and Outlook experience.
