We are currently hiring for an Accounts Receivable Clerk at our corporate office in Scottsdale, AZ.

  • Manages the New Customer set up process
  • Assists in maintaining credit files of existing customer base
  • Experience in past due balances including receiving and posting payments, handling issues such as dealing with customers on alternate payment plans, experience in setting or negotiating terms, and processing closed or bankrupt accounts
  • Posts payments to customer accounts received via ACH, Lockbox, Wire Transfers, or US Mail
  • Gathering and verifying data is complete and accurate on New Customer set up documents
  • Back up for cash application
  • Communicating with customers regarding additional information required
  • Requesting trade and bureau credit references
  • Compiling of financial data for review with management
  • Following up of information on pending new accounts
  • Entering new accounts into computer system and communicating same to internal departments affected
  • Sending new customer Terms Letter
  • Communicating with customers to request updated financial information
  • Updating of credit review flags in Infinium to identify future credit review dates
  • Work with Distribution Centers regarding Credit holds, releasing orders, partial shipments, etc.
  • Contact customers for payment information and follow up as needed
  • Posting customer payments onto accounts in GL computer system as well as researching on ERP system
  • Ability to act quickly in a fast-paced dynamic environment, and coordinate follow-up actions
  • Able to juggle multiple tasks to meet changing priorities and challenging deadlines
  • Willing to perform other tasks as required by management

  • Must possess customer service oriented oral and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented and accurate
  • Minimum of 2 years A.R experience
  • Previous Collections experience
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Must be technically proficient with word processing and spreadsheet software as well as proficient in the use of the Internet and e-mail. ERP, AS400 experience is a plus
  • MS Office Suite software experience is preferred (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong 10 key skills required
  • Frequent stand/walk short distances within office areas or performing outside office activities
  • Constant sitting depending on task assigned for prolonged periods of time
  • Occasional bending/twisting at waist/knees/neck to and from seated position while performing routine office activities
  • Constant use of both hands/arms simultaneously while performing desktop activities, keying data, operating office equipment
  • Constant use of speech/hearing/sight abilities required to perform essential functions of the job.
  • Occasional lifting 1-10lbs
  • Frequent stair climbing to and from work area
  • Must be able to work quickly and accurately
  • Must meet work schedules and deadlines as assigned
  • Must have mathematical ability, be able to accurately calculate figures using 10-key or other means
  • Must be able to work with constant interruptions, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, complete all tasks as assigned
  • Must be organized, able to work independently
  • Must have interpersonal skills, good oral/written communications skills
  • Must be able to interact with customers, providing information, respond in courteous manner
