Records payments to customers' accounts and maintains accounts receivable records by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Other duties may be assigned.
Enters finalized cash receipts and updates accounts receivable ledger by customer.
Obtains and mails invoice copies for customers, as requested.
Files check stubs and bank receipts.
Researches and processes customer claims of invoice payment.
Researches and processes charge backs, returns, and bad checks.
Answers accounts receivable phone inquiries and follows up.
Calls and/or mails correspondence to customers as necessary in order to update accounts.
Gathers and prepares information for daily operations reports.
Assists with related special projects, as required.

Education and/or Experience
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school with 2 years; or 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of but not limited to Accounting software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
