Titan Mid-Atlantic has an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Receivables Clerk located at the Mid-Atlantic Executive Offices at Summerfield location. This salary non-exempt position reports to the Accounting Services and Credit Manager. The primary function of this position is to receive and manage customer payments and inquiries within company set guidelines. This requires a broad knowledge and understanding of various accounting and finance functions.

Responsibilities:
  • Process daily billing for each of the various Titan America business units
  • Apply payments to customer accounts
  • Maintain an automated system account record for all cash sales, invoices, reports and adjustments
  • Perform customer account maintenance proactively and while servicing customers
  • Assist Credit Manager with month-end management reporting
  • Assist with the coordination of month-end close procedures
  • Reconcile receivable accounts on the General Ledger
  • Prepare and approve customer refunds on cash sales and other accounts
  • Assist with researching and processing credits, re-bills and/or disputed items
  • Communicate with and assist Credit Manager in the resolution of challenging accounts
  • Maintain good relationships and demonstrate professionalism with internal and external customers.
Required Skills Skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; inclusive of Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of an web base accounting system such as SAP or others
  • The ability to analyze, credit and edit spreadsheets is required
  • The ability to work independently with excellent time management and organization skills
  • Proven ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines while researching and resolving ambiguous information effectively.
Required Experience Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred
  • 3-5 years previous accounts receivable and customer service experience required
  • A proven track record of superior customer service abilities and decision making
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and staff at all levels of the organization
