Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in math, engineering, or the sciences.
YEARS OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
The position requires ten equivalent years of experience in analysis and technical management.
We are seeking a candidate with at least 10-15 years acquisition management experience in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment to include the following:
• Innovating acquisition processes and implementing improvements to Air Force acquisition
• Program Manager for ACAT level acquisitions
• Requirements development processes
• Providing decision support analysis to senior management
• Competency with Microsoft products
• Demonstrated ability to develop new or enhance existing products/processes to improve operations.
A minimum of a Secret DoD security clearance is required. Additional contract requirements include a Master’s degree in business, engineering, science (physics or chemistry) or mathematics and a Master Black Belt Certification in Lean/Six Sigma (or equivalent).
This position will be on-site at Peterson AFB supporting the Space & Missile Systems Center's (SMC) Programming and Integration Directorate. Responsibilities include assisting the government in the development and improvement of acquisition processes through interaction with staff and program offices, developing and implementing a continuous process improvement methodology, leading program teams through process improvement initiatives to determine non-value added activities and assisting with the development of action plans, and maintaining and updating the SMC Acquisition Center of Excellence Microsoft SharePoint page with the latest acquisition processes and policies. Additionally this position will analyze acquisition processes against plans and goals, recommend metrics to measure process implementation, and develop processes and tools for collecting those metrics.
