Ke'aki Technologies has an exciting opportunity for an Acquisition Support Specialist. The position will be located at U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) at Fort Detrick, Frederick, Maryland supporting the Logistics Division. The position requires a favorable NAC background check, and a signed confidentiality agreement.
The contractor shall be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office suite to include Word and Excel and shall perform specific tasks including but not limited to:
Assist Logistics Division in reviewing requirement documentation to determine if additional information is needed before submitting to USAMRAA for processing. This includes Minimum Essential Characteristics (MECs), Specifications, Performance of Work Statements and Sole Source Justifications. In addition, will provide acquisition advice to the USAMRIID customer on contractual matters based on working knowledge or acquisition regulations and policies. Assist in conducting market research for various laboratory supplies, equipment and services as needed. Establish and maintain database of all contracts. Notify customer of delivery expiration dates 15-30 days prior to expiration and provide option expiration notice at least 3 months in advance to allow proper exercising of option or re-solicitation. Initial database entry to be created within 30 days after task order award, completed within 90 days and updated continuously. Assist Logistics in coordination with USAMRAA to accomplish pre-award activities. Conduct formal and informal training (at least 2 classes per yr) to acquaint the USAMRIID customers with key acquisition concepts and procedures. Familiar with and able to use the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) as it pertains to executing daily tasks. Maintain a safe workplace and an awareness of, and shall observe, appropriate safety and occupational health rules and regulations. Contract shall attend safety training relative to the functional area and will report any infractions of safety procedures to the TCOR immediately. Familiar with and know how to use the FAR, DFARS and AFARS or other federal acquisition regulations. Three years experience working in Federal Government contracting or as a Contract Specialist or Contract Administrator. Will be the technical POC for the USAMRIID COR program. Develop and maintain a COR database within 90 days after task order award. Ensure COR folders contain the required documents. Ensure COR completes the required COR training. A favorable National Agency Check (NAC) is required. Must complete mandatory Federal, DoD, Army and USAMRIID training as required.
