The Active Directory Migration Engineer is a position that focuses on the technical skills of performing on site AD migration execution, support and training. The Migration Engineer will travel to customer sites for a short period of time and will perform user and computer migrations. The Migration Engineer will also deliver training to customer personnel on the migration procedures following a provided training package. Must have experience performing and troubleshooting AD user and computer migrations.
Ideal candidates would demonstrate understanding of the migration process, understand Active Directory 2008 and be able to directly support both end-users as well as act as an escalation point for issue resolution. Candidates should also be able to deliver training to other AD administrators on the migration procedures as well as general O&M activities of the new AD environment. Must perform problem solving in a complex demanding environment by drawing on a pool of technical experience, business understanding and good judgment. Responsibilities: SME for the executing the site-by-site AD migration of users and computers on a very large scale.
Experience working side-by-side with customer personnel in an advisory, support and training role. Ability to perform migration activities and provide advanced troubleshooting and issue resolution for next-day end-user support. Ability to gather data and update as-built diagrams and other technical documentation.
