Active Safety Systems Engineer

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
The IVS group's mission is to develop and implement production feasible Advanced Driver Asist System (ADAS) into mass production vehicles. IVS Group 3 is currently leading the development of a camera based system for Front Collission Warning and Lane Departure Warning. Other responsibilities include Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. Operational tasks involve Package/Design studies, Toyota/Approval Drawing issuance, developing system specifications, vehicle evaluation, system calibration and collaborative activities with internal/external stakeholders.
This engineer will fulfill our needs to (1) conduct Package/Design studies (2) develop/modify system specifications (3) validate system requirements through vehicle testing, and (4) conduct product development through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in developing new Advanced Driver Assist Systems
Electronics Hardware and Software integration
Develop specifications- HMI, Performance, Calibration, Diagnoses
Use CATIA to conduct design/package studies and issue drawings
Plan and execute vehicle system and component level evaluation of ADAS
Validate specifications - HMI, Performance, Calibration, Diagnoses
Create engineering reports
BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 3 years of experience on vehicles in Electrical/Body parts development.
Minimum of 3 years of experience at in design/package studies and layout drawings.
Experienced user of CATIA
Good oral and written communication skills
A valid driving license with under 3 moving violations in the most recent 3 years (vehicle evalutation criteria)
Ability to travel 10% - 15% (3-5 days / month)
MS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
5 or more years of experience on vehicles in Electrical/Body parts development.
Toyota experience with acceptable job performance of 'meets expectations" or "exceeds expectations" in both process and results on previous PMP
