Bachelor's degree, educational experience in the liberal arts or social science, preferred.
  • T wo years of experience in a similar position or special education, required.
  • Basic knowledge and experience in working with the elderly, preferred.
  • Meets the qualifications as stated in Title 22, required.
  • Artistic ability and creative talent, required.

  • This position further requires good organizational skills, the ability to generate enthusiasm, and ability to accept and utilize supervision. Initiative and the ability to follow through are essential. Must use good judgment in scheduling events and screening speakers and entertainers. Additionally, this position requires skills such as communication (read and write, English) to effectively communicate with others this position has contact with, tactful, interpersonal, good judgment, organization, accuracy, attention to detail, ability to work collaboratively with others, etc. The individual must be courteous and relate well to others, have genuine compassion for senior adults and the disabled, project a friendly character, support customer service and team concept.

    Required qualities include dependability, flexibility, courtesy and ability to relate well to others, genuine compassion for the elderly and disabled, a friendly personality, understanding customer service and team building concepts, and ability to deal with residents in a pleasant and professional manner is required. Further, the position requires a level of ability needed to work independently or with direct supervision, ability to follow through on assigned tasks, and demonstrate initiative. This position may travel for work (attend off-site meetings or seminars) and drive own vehicle or company vehicle, so this position needs a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
