HAND Senior Living is a recognized leader in assisted living, and is seeking an Activity Coordinator for its communities. The Activity Coordinator will develop and promote internal and external opportunities for socialization, meeting individual needs and interests in a way that supports the mission of HAND Senior Living Company.
Plan, create, print and distribute a monthly calendar and newsletter.
Keep a daily activity participation log.
Implement resident ideas into daily activities.
Promote upcoming events.
Direct individual and group activities as requested.
Deliver quality resident care, promoting independence, dignity and autonomy.
Assist kitchen staff taking food orders and serving residents.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
At least one (1) year experience providing care to seniors.
Ability to work in a team environment and assist in all areas of care.
Ability to bend, stoop, sit, stand, reach, and lift items weighing 30 lbs or less.
Ability to be on one's feet for extended periods of time.
Communicate orally and in writing with residents, families and co-workers.
Knowledge of HIPAA laws and resident rights.
