Requires a bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy, exercise science, health and wellness, exercise physiology, physical education, occupational therapy, physical therapy, communication disorders, human resource management (human service track), social work, psychology, counseling, developmental disabilities, special education, vocational, rehabilitation, nursing, sociology, elementary education, or child development and family science and one year of work experience working with special population groups; OR a master’s degree in one of the fields listed above.
Preference given to candidates with physical fitness/activity oriented training and/or health and wellness program coordination and/or kinesiology degree.

Summary of Work:
Will provide physical fitness programs for individuals with mental illness and chemical dependency of all ages and abilities. Physical active/fitness/wellness programs would include individual and group fitness training and would be responsible for motivating others to develop a physically active lifestyle, which will lead to tangible results in improving overall physical health, fitness, and wellness.
