Functions as support staff for nursing leadership team, performing duties relating to staffing, scheduling, time keeping, payroll and other clerical duties as needed by nursing departments. Strong organizational and communication skills required.

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities:

v High school graduate or equivalent required.

v Prefer completion of college courses with a business or secretarial emphasis.

v Knowledge of medical terminology or ability to obtain after hire.

v Current BCLS within three (3) months after hire date.

v Dependent adult abuse training. Mandatory reporter training for child abuse.

v Ability to read, write and speak English fluently and effectively.

v High degree of empathetic listening, tact and kindness toward others.

v Ability to communicate well verbally. Must work effectively as a member of a team.

v Previous healthcare experience preferred.

v Technical and critical thinking skills required to perform duties outlined in this job description.

v Advanced computer knowledge

v Office management skills related to this position.

v Ability to gather, process and disseminate information in a meaningful and organized manner.

v Ability to work with a great deal of independence and to handle a high level of responsibility.
