AccuWeather’s NY Ad Sales Department intern will assist with client proposals, prospecting, competitive research, collecting & organizing marketing information and campaign analysis. This position is available from May to August, depending on school schedule. This is a paid internship for up to 25 hours per week.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Acquires knowledge of all ad products, platforms and sales & marketing programs.
Works alongside the Account Managers to learn plan development, pricing structure and ad inventory.
Research website publications in related industries to identify advertisers and types of campaigns running on similar platforms.
Analyzes ad campaign performance for potential client case studies.
Uses marketing tools like comScore to pull audience info relevant to specific client proposals and help marketing with packaging proposals.
Assists Sales Executives with client prospecting and research for upcoming client meetings.
Creates a shared drive for all Sales & Marketing documents.
High school diploma with coursework in sales/marketing at the college or business school level.
Familiar with online, mobile and tablet (iPad etc.) advertising.
Strong knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, Microsoft Word.
Good communication skills, highly organized and excellent proofreading skills.
Strong familiarity with web searching.
Ability to learn new web database interfaces.
