DESCRIPTION

This course presents advanced technical skills needed to work with clients experiencing myofascial pain symptoms. Techniques continue to focus on trigger point therapy and cross fiber friction, with an emphasis on the development of a treatment plan.
This position begins on April 30, 2013, Summer trimester, Days and hours Tuesday & Thursday, 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM

DUTIES

Teach Rehabilitative Massage II course beginning Summer 2013
Responsible for all aspects of class preparation and delivery of course material. Access to previously developed lesson plans, hand out and other course materials are available
Assessment of student learning and assignment of grades based on the use of university acceptable evaluation tools

QUALIFICATIONS

National certification in massage therapy through NCBTMB
Minimum of five years experience as a practicing massage therapist
Minimum two years experience teaching in post secondary or adult education
