Requires an associate degree with major coursework in office support or business or office education and one year of work experience performing a variety of office support, clerical, or secretarial work. Additional work experience performing office support, clerical, or secretarial duties may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis. Minimum typing speed of 50 wpm with no more than 5 errors. Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills needed for performing job duties. Preference may be given to those individuals who have experience with Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Filenet, Inmate Information System, and possess prioritization and time management skills. Must complete the typing, Microsoft Word and Excel test at Job Service. Individual must be flexible and innovative in carrying out assigned responsibilities. Must successfully complete standard background and criminal record check.

Summary of Work:
Individual will have daily interaction with inmates. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: inmate records management, e-file systems, entering changes into specific agency data systems such as Inmate Information Systems (ITAG), assist and provide administrative support, typing, taking meeting minutes, opening mail, take phone messages and deliver to appropriate staff. Type and edit correspondence reports or other documents.
