Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Administrative Assistant, Technology & Services Human Resources located in Houston, TX through September 24, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).

Position Details:
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Actively support the General Manager, Technology & Services Human Resources and direct reports by providing prompt, accurate, and timely support in a number of areas requiring confidentiality, independent judgment, follow-through, and completion
  • Reviews, screens, prioritize and respond to incoming correspondence, email and telephone calls, as appropriate
  • Works with confidential data and communications
  • Works independently, identifies needs, and proceeds on own initiative
  • Coordinates domestic and international travel arrangements including air, hotel, and ground transportation for management and staff
  • Schedules, and coordinates logistics for meetings, workshops, activities, and functions and handles special projects as requested
  • Responsible for ordering supplies, invoice processing, cell phones, various reporting
  • Manages and reconciles monthly Procurement Card (Procard) purchases and reconciles monthly statements

    Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years administrative assistant experience
  • Specific experience in handling confidential data; must be able to handle all activities with high confidentiality and high level of initiative/independence.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to balance multiple assignments with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and handle/maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive documents and information
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels of support using tact and diplomacy.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Domain knowledge of Chevron, in particular the HR Function structure, associated leadership teams and key administrative contacts across the function
  • Administrative assistance experience providing direct support to senior management
