Requires high school diploma or GED and three years of experience performing a variety of complex office support, clerical or secretarial work. Additional education with major coursework in office support or business or office education may substitute for the experience requirement on a year-for-year basis.
This job requires considerable knowledge of personal computers and their use. Experience with the Microsoft Office suite is required. Experience with Excel and Outlook is desirable. The successful applicant will have excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, experience using general office equipment and computer skills.
Preference will be given to applicants with previous experience in a legal setting.

Summary of Work:
This position will serve as an administrative assistant to Vocational Rehabilitation at Northeast Human Service Center. Essential functions include: Processing accounts payable; answering telephone calls; scheduling meetings; maintaining files; processing mail; inputting data; filing; and processing of routine correspondence; composing general office correspondence; typing, proofing, and editing correspondence, composing reports, and other documents; and maintaining stock of office supplies, equipment, and forms by ordering and receiving goods. This position requires the use of software including word processing, database, e-mail and the Internet.
