Requires a high school diploma or GED and three years of experience performing a variety of complex office support, clerical or secretarial work. Additional education with major coursework in office support or business or office education may substitute for up to two years of the experience requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Proficiency in keyboarding, transcription, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, personal computer, grammar, good spelling skills, and good people skills are required for this position.
This position requires the ability to learn and use multiple computer programs specific to the position; maintaining a high degree of confidentiality; attention to detail and proficiency in balancing payroll, client records and billing; working with interruptions and distractions; multi-tasking and providing back-up to other clerical staff; and displaying an ability to perform lead worker duties to direct and assure other clerical duties are performed as needed.

Summary of Work:
Serves as lead for three agency clerical support staff. Provides back-up support for Account Technician to assist with payroll and agency reports. The position also provides clerical support to the Community Services Unit for Home and Community Based Services, Childcare licensing, Health Tracks, Children’s Special Health Services programs, and general information and referral Services. The position may also provide support to Children and Family Services Unit staff. Responsible for setting-up and maintaining case files. Responsible for billing Home and Community Based Services for reimbursement, and assisting other public providers in billing for similar services. Establish and maintain databases for all programs as needed, and accessing information from TECS or Vision programs for agency staff. Regular attendance is required.
