This is an entry level administrative position in our Dept. of Emergency Medicine. Our Administrative Asst I performs administrative support-oriented job duties; resolves routine questions and problems; job duties have clearly defined objectives and standard methods/routines to accomplish tasks. You will perform a variety of support-related duties such as file maintenance, scheduling appointments, reception, inventory management, typing, report preparation, and correspondence.

Standard administrative office environment and exposure. The majority of work required by this position will be at a desk/computer work station; however, up to210% of the essential functions of this position will involve mobility (being able to move from one floor of campus building to another; being able to move from one building to another for meetings, etc.).
Ability to pull including using the upper body to exert force to draw, drag, haul or tug objects; to push including using the upper body to press against an object with force; reach including extending the arm or hand; stand including standing for short or extended time periods; engage in repetitive motions including movements of the hands, wrists or fingers; grasp including applying pressure to objects with fingers or hands; walk including moving by foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for extended periods of time or over a long distance; feel including perceiving size, shape, temperature and texture; touch including finger dexterity; speak including expressing oneself or exchanging information with others; hear including perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction; receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound; see including unique visual requirements above and beyond the standard ability to see with or without corrective eyewear such as color vision, depth perception, etc.
Required Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent and 12 months general office, clerical, and/or administrative support-related experience.
