PHI is seeking a part time (50%) Administrative Assistant I (AA I) for C/NET. This position is located in Berkeley, CA.

The AA I is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the office manager and other managers to relieve them of certain administrative and business details. The incumbent may research and compile special reports, take and deliver messages, give information to callers, schedule appointments, set up and maintain files, provide workers with office supplies, prepare and sort mail, perform typing assignments, and proofread. The incumbent is also assigned the task of operating automated office equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Helps produce mailings and prepares items for shipping

Helps maintain paper file systems

Follows up with customers who need to submit information, by phone and by email

Uses Excel to create special reports; reviews data and makes simple calculations

Arranges teleconferences as needed

Conducts small research projects, compiles the results and prepares report for managers use

Provides help with logical support for meetings

Enters data into spreadsheets and databases, as required

Makes copies of documents and other materials, including scanning to PDFs

Performs other duties as assigned

High School diploma or it equivalent required

At least one year of administrative experience including word processing

Good verbal and written communication skills

Good filing skills

Computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel

Hardworking and attentive to details

Exercises initiative and resourcefulness

Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic skills

This is a non exempt position and the hourly wage is commensurate with experience.
