Summary:
This position serves as the administrative assistant to the Special Assets Group (SAG). This position maintains confidential borrower and other materials to be used for credit approvals, reporting, correspondence, presentations and other projects assigned by the Special Assets manager. This position also serves as the assistant to the Chief Credit Officer compiling regular reporting, minutes, board reporting and other information as requested. Additionally, this position also provides occasional administrative assistance to the Region 1 President.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support for Special Assets

  • Distributes agenda and presentations for weekly Problem Loan Credit Committee (PLCC) meetings
  • Distributes problem loan reports for quarterly PLCC problem loan report meeting
  • Acts as PLCC secretary, preparing minutes for SAG manager approval
  • Maintains up to date database of all PLCC approvals to include any committee qualifications
  • Performs reconcilements of all SAG internal DDA’s and other accounts and maintains records of the same
  • Maintains log of all credit approvals under $500M, (not required to be presented at PLCC)
  • Maintains log of all legal expenses approved by SAG manager and forward to Finance for payment
  • Maintains OREO spreadsheet
  • Maintains log and files for consumer bankruptcies and reaffirmation agreements
  • Coordinates processing of loan payments received by SAG
  • Completes appraisal request forms and commercial loan worksheets
  • Processes tickler updates
  • Performs filing, and a myriad of other general office duties
Support for Chief Credit Officer

  • Distributes agenda and presentations for weekly Senior Credit Committee (SCC) meetings
  • Acts as SCC secretary, preparing minutes for Chief Credit Officer approval
  • Maintains up to date database of all SCC approvals to include any committee qualifications
  • Prepares confirmations for SCC actions and forwards the same to bankers
  • Tracks outside SCC member compensation and processes payments
  • Updates quarterly the Loan Status Report, Loan Diversification Chart, Anchor Bank, N.A. legal lending limit and Anchor Bancorp aggregate limit
  • Organize and maintain charge-off spreadsheet and paper file for Region 1, Region 2 and SAG
  • Provide Chief Credit Officer with charge off information for monthly board meetings
  • Maintain Executive Credits Committee minutes on file
  • Organize and maintain the Approval Authorities log and distribute the same after board approvals of new authorities
Support for Region 1 President

  • Schedule and coordinate monthly “Run About” meetings with bank presidents
  • Back-up for weekly Credit topics meeting
  • Provide confidential and/or regular meeting materials, (usually weekly)
Qualifications:
Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma required
  • Associate degree in Business Administration preferred or equivalent experience in banking and investments
  • Strong office administration experience that includes Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required
  • Familiarity with loan documentation and loan system.
Communication Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Effective expression in individual or group situations
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from borrowers
  • Uses courtesy, tact, appropriate grammar, correct spelling, etc. in oral and written communications
  • Ability to convey ideas clearly and concisely
  • Ability to compose and write letters and memos
Other Skills and Abilities

  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles including the ability to reconcile accounts.
  • Ability to maintain total confidentiality of all oral and written information of holding company and affiliated banks
  • Ability to work independently and meet scheduled deadlines
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work and schedule efficiently and effectively, with great flexibility
  • Ability to work effectively under deadlines and pressure. Self motivated ability to work consistently and productively under minimal supervision.
