Position Summary

This position provides administrative support for twelve faculty members including, but not limited to, support for course materials, conducting library and on-line searches, generating individual reimbursements, course website updates, as well as administrative support for undergraduate chemistry laboratories. In addition, this position coordinates all aspects of the department seminar series consisting of correspondence, travel itinerary, scheduling the speaker's visits, and reimbursement processes for department guests.

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate and two years of related administrative experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. -Demonstrated strong customer service skills required. -Demonstrated ability to work independently and successfully manage multiple priorities. -Good organization skills and attention to detail. -Demonstrated proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Willingness to be trained to use ChemDraw, Equation Editor, and FileMaker Pro software programs. -Knowledge of evolving social media platforms. -Excellent oral and written communication skills.
