Cargill Foodservice North America (CFNA) is an integrated selling organization established to enable Cargill to grow quicker and more profitably in NA foodservice industry.

Our purpose is to connect foodservice customers to the world of Cargill.

Our sales professionals cross-sell multiple product categories to national chains, regional chains, targeted segments and other regional operators.

We sell products on behalf of Beef, Cargill Value Added Meats, Pork, Dressings, Sauces and Oils, Specialty Canola Oils, Salt, and Cargill Kitchen Solutions into the foodservice industry.


Administrative Assistant

will provide administrative support to the President of CFNA and the senior leadership team based in Minneapolis. This position will be located in the corporate offices in Hopkins, MN.

40% - Administrative Support to CFNA President

Maintain calendar and meeting schedules

Answer and screen phone calls

Execute travel plans (air, car, hotel; secure passport visas as needed)

Complete expense reporting

Maintain meeting files, ready on president’s desk daily and for travel

Maintain project files

Coordinate appointments with internal BU leaders’ administrative assistants and with customer administrative assistants

Type correspondence

30% - Administrative Support to CFNA Vice Presidents

Maintain visibility in calendars

Execute travel plans and complete expense reporting

Assist with powerpoint preparation, typing correspondence

Assist with team meeting planning, coordination, and logistics, catering

25% - General Project Responsibility

Coordinate annual United Way fund raisers

Assist with planning of annual sales meeting

Other projects and large team training

Planning and logistics for team celebrations

Manage logistics for customer visits

5% - Other administrative duties as assigned


High School Diploma or equivalent

5+ years of experience in an Administrative Assistant role

2+ years of experience supporting Sr. Leaders

Excellent skills at using Microsoft Office Products with a heavy emphasis on PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, as well as fundamental skills with Excel

Familiar with use of conference call scheduling systems

Excellent communication skills to interact with customers

Creative thinking process to support presentation development

Experience dealing with confidential information

Ability to anticipate the needs of executive staff

Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information

Strong prioritization skills

Familiar with use of a corporate travel system

Experience using corporate expense management system

Experience supporting a sales leadership team

Meeting and event planning experience

Relocation will not be provided for this position.
