Our spacious new facility allows us to simulate real-world customer and consumer environments in a space specifically designed to promote collaboration between Cargill’s food businesses, technical staff and customers.

Administrative Assistant

located in

Wichita, KS

. This position will be responsible for greeting customers, visitors and vendors, answering phones and providing administrative support necessary to accommodate the CIC facility and management.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • BU Support: Coordinate monthly staff meetings, update internal documents (phone directory, org chart, etc.), manage clothing allowance, maintain/order office and printer supplies, assist with customer visits, assist with planning and logistics of quarterly/annual technology meetings, close/lock lobby area daily and provide assistance to CIC staff.

  • General Reception Duties: Greet and assist customers, visitors & vendors (badges, parking, wireless access, conference room setup), answer and screen incoming phone calls.

  • Administrative Support to Management: Assist with PowerPoint or spreadsheet preparation, notebook construction, schedule and coordinate appointments/webinars, data entry, coordinate travel and expense reporting, etc.

  • Other administrative duties as assigned.

High School Diploma or GED

Minimum of two (2) years experience working in an administrative, clerical or customer service focused role

Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Ability to quickly master new software applications

Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)

High level of professionalism

Strong organizational skills with attention to details

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple priorities and resolving routine problems in a timely manner

Ability to work independently and take initiative, while exhibiting teamwork

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Some college coursework

Experience with SharePoint and/or Web pages

Meeting and event planning experience
