ChildFund International is seeking an Administrative Assistant to assist the Executive Assistant to the CEO. This newly created position occupies an exciting space with a bird’s eye view of the organization. The Administrative Assistant will assist the Executive Assistant in performing the full range of typical administrative duties within the President’s office including correspondence, scheduling, international and domestic travel arrangements, and event planning. This position handles the most sensitive of information and requires the highest level of confidentiality, discretion and a professional demeanor.

Reporting to the Executive Assistant, the Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to the President’s office, including reception, handling mail, preparing and handling faxes, photocopying, and ordering supplies. This fast-paced position requires strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, as duties will include maintaining files for accessibility and organized information storage, providing technical assistance in spreadsheet and database applications, and maintaining accurate and organized record keeping. The Administrative Assistant will also serve as an administrative resource for divisional and organizational special projects as required.

Required Skills


High school degree required

1+ years’ experience in an administrative support role

Demonstrated proficiency in office management software (i.e., excel, word, power point, etc.)

Effective communication skills (developing correspondence, presentations, etc.) and strong interpersonal skills

Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team

Ability to handle the prioritization of multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.

Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretion
