1. JOB PURPOSE
This position will be the front line for customer service for the Extension Service Center. This employee must provide business and personnel support for staff at the county location. Greet and assist customers. Take responsibility for forwarding financial information, deposits and all other fiscal documents to the appropriate Budget Center.
2. JOB FUNCTIONS
Open/close office and oversee daily office operations at the Service Center; i.e. assisting customers, soil samples, routing calls and customer requests. E/50%
Assist Staff/Agents by ordering supplies, supervising use, operations & maintenance of office equipment. E/20%
Coordinate receipt handling and preparation of deposits to be sent to the Business Center and maintain petty cash account. E/10%
Distribute mail to appropriate staff and Business Center. E/10%
Maintain program files required for Civil Rights Compliance. E/5%
Perform other duties as required by Lead Agent/Staff or Business Center. M/5%
A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related work experience.
PAY & WORK SCHEDULE:
Standard Hrs: 37.5; Band: 04; Pay $26,000
This applicant will work directly under a Lead Agent but will also need to interact with the appropriate Business Center for any requests for information or materials. This applicant must be able to accomplish daily tasks with little supervision. Clemson University and Clemson Extension Service policies and procedures must be adhered to.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Must have excellent communication skills with ability to meet the public and deal with a diversified client pool in a helpful and professional manner. Attention to detail and good time management qualities. Must take initiative to begin and finish projects assigned with time restraints.
This position is located OFF CAMPUS at 201 Johnson Street St. George, SC.
Employees who are in time limited positions will earn one and one-quarter days of Annual and Sick Leave per month for a total of thirty (30) days per year. Eligible part-timers will earn days on a pro rata basis.
