12-237: Administrative Assistant

Location NAS Patuxent River, MD

Job Responsibilities

Perform Personnel Security, Information Security and administrative duties for a government classified project office. Update and maintain personnel security databases. Review access requests to assist government adjudicators. Conduct security briefings and debriefings. Accomplish transmission, receipt, distribution, storage, and accountability of a large number of classified documents. Operate and maintain an automated document control system. Conduct annual document and media inventories and provide a report to the government security officer. Operate secure communications equipment. Assist with visitor reception, control and escort. Transmit and receive visit certifications. Control visitor access to the facility. Assist security managers to conduct security reviews of contractor and field agency facilities. Operate a PC and provide general administrative support to customer personnel.

Qualifications

  • Must have a current SSBI
  • 2 yr experience working in a DOD (government or contractor) classified environment
  • Proficient with Windows applications, Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience administering DoD personnel security: investigations, clearances, visit certifications, databases.(desired)
  • Experience in controlling or working with accountable classified documents (desired)
  • Experience in a classified program or SCI environment (desired)
  • Experience with the JAFAN Instructions/ NISPOM overprint
