Provide support to the Tax Department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, preparing letters to various federal and state agencies, filing, scanning documents, posting documents to SharePoint, maintaining a system to track tax payments and invoices, sorting and distributing mail within the department. Support a positive work atmosphere and teamwork with coworkers in the completion of tasks.
Prepare letters to federal and state agencies
Scan vouchers and invoices and save with standard naming conventions
File federal and state payment vouchers by property
Post scanned tax returns to SharePoint
Pick up mail for the department and distribute
Maintain excellent organizational skills
Other tasks as assigned
Two years experience in an administrative assistant or other similar position. Must be able to multi-task and be effective team member. Must have basic skills in Word and Excel and be familiar with standard office equipment. Knowledge of basic accounting concepts, tax compliance, organizational skill and service orientation a plus. Verbal and written communication skills required.
