Will perform a variety of administrative functions for the Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Department in Rock Springs, WY.
Duties and Responsibilities
Work conditions may require working under stressful conditions associated with filing deadlines and heavy workloads; and overtime to complete projects.
- Providing administrative support to HSE personnel
- Shipping and Receiving
- Internet research
- Invoice handling
- Answering telephones
- Assisting visitors
- Coordinating department and Safety meetings. This may include preparing and distributing the agenda, required materials, and meeting minutes.
- Generate expense reports
- Working with vendors to purchase safety supplies when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge of: basic office skills including arithmetic, spelling and grammar; department and organization procedures; business and industry terminology.
Skill in: using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, relating interpersonally; and operating basic office equipment (i.e., computers, printers, telephone, fax, photocopier, postage meter and calculator).
Ability to: communicate effectively orally and in writing; understand and clarify oral and written instructions; handle and maintain confidential information; exhibit high-level self-management skills; respond to telephone calls; use features of the telephone system and Outlook calendar; determine the distance and relationship between objects; see objects at close range; follow directions from supervisors.
Requirements: high school diploma or GED; two years previous administrative experience; prefer administrative experience in the oil and gas industry.
