Reporting to the Head of Global Marketing and Strategy – Biosurgery Surgical, the Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to functional leaders and requires an advanced knowledge or learning thereof of department functions, SOPs and systems. The position requires a highly organized individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to manage complex calendars and maintain and create effective systems. The upmost discretion and judgment is required as there is exposure to highly confidential information. Ability to interact with all employees within the organization; to respond effectively to the needs is required.

Key activities will include managing department communication for manager(s) including telephone, mail; processing timely, accurate inputs and outputs to a variety of business systems, including time reporting, expense reporting, purchasing, compliance, and HR systems within corporate policy and guidelines.
Responding to various inquiries for information according to general guidelines; coordinating meetings, maintaining calendars and making travel arrangements as required; providing clerical support as necessary, including filing, faxing, copying, and performing data entry; taking minutes of key meetings.
Contacts are frequent with individuals representing outside organizations, and or individuals of significant importance within the company.
Contacts involve planning and preparation of the communications, require skill, tact, persuasion and/or negotiation to accomplish the objectives of the communication.
Responsibilities will include assisting in special projects as needed.

Basic Qualifications
  • High school education and >5 years of related experience
  • Experience at the advanced level in Outlook Calendar, Excel,
PowerPoint, and MS Word required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to work independently and to provide support to individuals in multiple locations
  • Excellent organization skills and have a high attention to detail with a desire to get jobs completed in an accurate and timely manner
  • Proven experience handling confidential and sensitive information is essential
