HORNE LLP, one of the largest accounting and consulting firms in the Southeast is seeking a dynamic Administrative Assistant for our Jackson, TN office. The Administrative Assistant will perform day-to-day functions for the Firm using established systems and procedures. A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years' experience in a professional office environment and a high school diploma are required. Experience in an accounting office or environment preferred, but not required.
High School Diploma required
Associate degree preferred
Minimum of 3-5 years in a professional office environment
Strong computer and office equipment skills
Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Advanced proofing skills
A high degree of accuracy
Strong work ethic
Must be able to type at least 60 wpm with no errors and operate a 10-key with accuracy
Professional telephone etiquette
Excellent oral and written communication
Able to perform multiple tasks
Flexibility to work overtime if needed
Primary Job Responsibilities
Answer and direct phone calls and greet clients
Format documents in Word and Excel to meet Firm standards
Maintain client information in Practice Management system
Proofread and edit documents
Maintain and order office supplies
Process and manage client documents using a document management system
Assist with travel arrangements, data entry, correspondence, meeting arrangements, etc.
Assemble tax returns
Other various administrative duties
