Employee in this class will be responsible for assisting Lead Facilitator in the general supervision and management of the offender population in a classroom setting. Work will require that employees work well with diverse populations demonstrating organizational skills, flexibility, and a non-judgmental demeanor. Some clerical and administrative support duties may be require. Work is performed under the supervision of the department head or other supervisor and work is evaluated through observation, conferences, and the quality and effectiveness of work completed.
Examples of Duties:
Assist and coordinates in a classroom setting under the direction of the Lead Facilitator. Assist in planning and preparing the learning environment.
Maintain confidentiality of clients.
Enforce administrative policy and rules.
Some clerical and secretarial responsibilities
Participates in training, if required
Associates Degree, with two years in human service/criminal justice-teaching experience preferred. Also, experience working with the offender population and cognitive behavioral techniques, preferred.
