The Kinross Kettle River-Buckhorn Operation is located in the State of Washington. The operation mines and processes ore from eight separate deposits in four local production centers. Purpose of Role
Performs a variety of administrative duties to support the human resources and environmental departments.
Key Areas of Responsibility & Duties
1. To provide administrative services to the human resources and environmental department
a. Handles routine administrative duties such as: filing, typing and data entry, ordering supplies.
b. Follows established procedures and policies within the departments when maintaining records.
c. Complies with all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to safety, confidentiality, and environmental policies
d. Ensures that records management for the departments is performed to guidelines set by company policy, MSHA regulations, and other legal / legislative requirements.
e. Handles special projects as needed.
f. Administer paperwork and correspondence.
g. Maintains the filing system including organizing files, generating labels and archiving and retrieving files as needed.
h. Maintains database systems, including data entry, data uploads and quality control.
2. Provides basic level customer support
a. Maintain a high level of communication and professionalism with all employees and external vendors and contacts; maintain a high dedication to the team environment.
b. Handles routine inquiries related to the human resources and environmental department
Minimum Qualifications & Skill Requirements
§ High-school graduation or equivalent
§ Sound knowledge of policies, practices, and procedures related to human resources and environmental a plus
§ 2-5 years of related work experience
§ Thorough operational knowledge of office equipment and machines (i.e., phone, fax, copier, computer (Word, Excel, Access)
§ Proficient in basic office skills such as data entry, spreadsheets, filing, phone etiquette, and composition of business letters
§ Possession of valid driver’s license issued by the state
§ Ability to complete basic office tasks and learn quickly

§ Ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments at one time
§ Ability to understand and apply company policies and procedures clearly and accurately
§ Ability to work independently or with others in a team environment
