Edison Mission Operation and Maintenance (EMOM) is a subsidiary of Edison Mission Energy (EME), an independent power producer operating electrical generation facilities thought the U.S. EME is a wholly owned subsidiary of Edison International. EMOM continues to significantly expand its portfolio of Wind Energy operations across the country.
Follow safety procedures, observe safe working practices and maintain a safe work environment.
Provide general secretarial support including: typing, organizing, scheduling, etc. Proofread various types of materials and make corrections for spelling, punctuation, grammatical errors, and possible phrasing enhancements.
Answer telephones, screen calls, take and relay messages, and handle routine requests for information and administrative matters. Receive visitors from both inside and outside the company. Coordinate the calendars of the Executive Director and Plant Manager. Maintain the Plant Calendar.
Obtain, sort and deliver incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail. Responsible for establishing, organizing, and maintaining the plant electronic and central file systems.
Maintain the Edison Mission O&M Standards and Guidelines, Plant Orders, Operating Instructions, and Plant Procedures in their respective books and files. Make copies of printed material.
Enter work orders and purchase orders in the Maintenance Management System.
Assist Management as needed to ensure all periodic compliance reports are completed accurately and submitted as scheduled.
Perform various administrative and clerical matters such as ordering and maintaining office supplies, and making travel arrangements. Assist in preparing Accounts Payable invoices. Perform extensive data entry.
Maintain a positive company image and constructive relationships with all internal and external customers.
Assist with contract administration, payroll (timekeeping) and other administrative accountant functions.
Is responsible for maintaining FAX, copy, postage, and other office equipment, including service agreements, directing service calls following up on maintenance, etc.
Occasional travel may be required.
Perform other duties and assignments as required.
Must have and utilize knowledge of standard office practices, filing procedures, strong typing, spelling and punctuation skills. Must also have knowledge of Standards and Guidelines, Administrative Orders, Procedures, and Operating Instructions, Edison Mission O&M accident prevention rules and safe work practices.
Must be able to act independently, organize, and handle many different tasks and situations with minimal supervision. Good telephone skills are required. Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Must be able to type 50 WPM and have the ability to use and learn PCs, word processors, calculators, copiers, facsimiles, and other office equipment. Must possess strong MS Office software skills (i.e. Word, Excel).
Must possess a valid California driver's license.
Three years experience working in an office environment with similar duties to those listed above.
High School diploma or GED required.
Extensive computer work with long periods of data inputting. Moderate lifting to 25 lbs. Stooping, bending, and filing at above and below waist height.
