This position is part of the Field Services Office and coordinates early field experience placements with school district administrators for undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at Millersville University. Work includes, but is not limited to, establishing a timeline for entire process of obtaining cooperating teachers and assigning students for all courses; obtain data on each student relevant to field experience; monitor and verify acceptable clearances for each student; send/deliver placement information to area schools regarding student-cooperating teacher pairings and course-specific expectations; maintain database on students and cooperating teachers; arrange transportation, if necessary; prepare script and conduct student assignment sessions; visit schools to meet with principals/district contacts; develop/maintain early field experience web page; revise handbook. In addition, position conducts special programs; assists with student teaching evening meetings; and, any other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Three years of advanced secretarial or para-professional experience or equivalent combination of secretarial experience and training. Demonstrated experience with MS Office, database management, reporting systems, email and internet. Excellent customer service and oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to solve problems, handle multiple, complex tasks with accuracy and attention to detail while maintaining a professional demeanor in fast-paced work environment; maintain confidentiality; work independently; become familiar with academic and office policies. Demonstrated evidence of commitment to diversity and equity; successful interview; and background check.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using Banner, Brio and the internet.
