Monsanto is seeking a dedicated, highly motivated, career-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our Research Triangle Park site. As an administrative assistant, you should have the ability to perform a wide variety of administrative support tasks, including management of calendars, coordination of meetings and travel arrangements, processing of expense reports, SAP invoice processing, and service entries against invoices, supporting shipping & receiving processes, planning and coordinating group meetings and events, operating copiers, fax machines, printers, and ordering supplies.

Qualified candidates must have relevant administrative experience, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). A successful candidate must be able to handle multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines while responding to emails and voicemails in a timely manner.

As an administrative assistant with Monsanto, you will work with multiple managers within the organization. The position requires teamwork and the ability to cultivate and maintain positive working relationships. You will be expected to contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Excellent communication skills are required as the job requires interfacing with individuals both external and internal. Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.

We are seeking an individual that has the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and have excellent follow through. A high level of integrity is required as the successful candidate will be exposed to sensitive and confidential information.

  • Managing multiple Outlook calendars and contacts simultaneously

  • Making travel arrangements (domestic and international)

  • Expense reports

  • Organizing and coordinating meetings including conference calls

  • Meeting arrangements and event planning

  • Filing, photocopying and organizing documents

  • Document preparation and revision

  • Invoice and receipts processing

  • Establishing and maintaining record-keeping systems

  • Preparing high-quality, executive level PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, and Monthly Reports
  • Required Skills/Experience:
    • High School Diploma/GED plus 2 or more years of experience as an administrative assistant or other relevant experience.

    • Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

    • Making travel arrangements (domestic and international)

    • Organizing and coordinating meetings including conference calls

    • Flexible self starter who has the ability to exercise independent decision making skills

    • Strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills

    • Ability to multi-task and work well under strict time constraints

    • Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detai

    • Ability to maintain confidentiality

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills

    • Team player with good interpersonal skills.

    Desired Skills Experience:
    • Experience with SAP
