The chief objective of this position is to provide the administrative support to the faculty, staff and students in the Department of OEAS. This position schedules meetings, answers the multiple-line telephone system, greets and directs visitors, copies and distributes materials as needed and assists the Chief Undergraduate Advisor with undergraduate files, statistics and verification of degree requirements. This position maintains the Facebook, Web and Sharepoint pages. This position also posts and advertises departmental activities, assists the Budget Manager and performs outreach activities as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge of effective customer service techniques. Working knowledge of PC-based software to include Microsoft Office Suite. Working knowledge of information systems such as Banner or a similar program. Effective oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated data entry skills. Demonstrated ability to complete work assignments in a timely fashion while multi-tasking. Demonstrated ability to work independently and set priorities. Demonstrated ability to perform in a professional manner in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines when completing shared office tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

Associates degree in business management or equivalent combination of experience. Experience updating web pages. Previous experience in an academic environment. Experience using Adobe software. Experience with Banner, Sharepoint and Facebook. Knowledge of basic accounting practices and procedures.
