Our Mission The PCAOB is a nonprofit corporation established by Congress to oversee the audits of public companies in order to protect the interests of investors and further the public interest in the preparation of informative, accurate and independent audit reports. The PCAOB also oversees the audits of broker-dealers, including compliance reports filed pursuant to federal securities laws, to promote investor protection.

Job Description The PCAOB has a full-time, regular position for an Administrative Assistant in the Division of Registration and Inspections at the New York, NY office. This key role provides secretarial and clerical support to Associate Directors and Managers of Inspections. This role reports to the Project Manager and requires a candidate who is willing to assume a wide range of responsibilities in a fast-paced professional environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of administrative tasks and moderately complex assignments under limited supervision;* Plan and organize work to meet requirements; * Interact with various level contacts inside and outside the organization; * Maintain standards of confidentiality with respect to all matters and documents; * Ensure high level of accuracy in all details and manage priorities; * Use various PC software packages, including spreadsheets, word processing and graphics to produce high quality reports, tables, graphs, presentations and other documents; * Perform administrative duties: - Maintain the calendar using Outlook; - Schedule and organize appointments, meetings, and conferences; - Answers and screens incoming calls, delivers messages in a timely manner and directs accordingly; - Prepares faxes, photocopies, scanning, and distributes mail; - Write, edit, and proofread correspondences, reports, proposals and various other documents; - Create, organize and maintain confidential files and records; - Coordinate travel arrangements and process expenses; and - Other duties and special projects as needed.
