Provides administrative/secretarial support for the Department and performs various clerical, secretarial, and administrative functions.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Products and ability to mentor departmental staff in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to prepare professionally written reports.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Excellent knowledge of grammar and the ability to proofread documents.
Basic math and computation skills.
Ability to interact with people of diverse backgrounds using tact and diplomacy.
Skilled in managing a busy office.
Ability to work under pressure and maintain focus despite interruptions.
Two years of college, business or graduate of accredited secretarial school plus one year of clerical/secretarial experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
