Part-time, 12-month position available. This position will collaborate closely with the Senior Advisor to create, coordinate, manage, and implement presidential events at the President's home (Scribner House). Working closely with the Senior Advisor, this position performs a wide range of administrative support tasks and is responsible for the management and coordination of the Senior Advisor's calendar, correspondence including confidential materials, and the Scribner House budget. This position will provide occasional back-up administrative support in the President's Office.
Qualifications include an Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of coursework and experience. Applicants should have a demonstrated work history of progressively responsible administrative experience, preferably in higher education, as well as event planning experience. The successful candidate must possess excellent written, analytical, and oral communication skills and the ability to work in a highly collaborative environment with a wide range of the campus community. This position requires confidentiality, dependability, and the capacity to work accurately and independently. The ideal candidate will possess excellent administrative skills in organizing and planning and be a seasoned, professional, and highly self-motivated individual with the ability to build relationships. This position is an important member of the President's Office team and must be able to work cooperatively with staff at all levels. Use of excellent judgment, discretion, diplomacy, and tact, as well as a keen understanding of the mission of the College, is essential. Advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) are required.
