DESCRIPTION

TEMPORARY POSITION

Administrative Assistant to work in the Quality/Risk/Compliance Department full to part time hours during the next 6-8 weeks. Position may turn into a permenant pool position.

Office weekday schedule

DUTIES

JOB SUMMARY: The following statements are intended to describe the major elements and requirements of the position and should not be taken as an all-inclusive list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required of individuals assigned to this job.

Assists with the responsibilities of the Medical Staff Credentialing assistant as well as with quality, risk, and compliance duties, as assigned. Must be able to communicate well with staff and administration. Capable of performing under stress, with frequent interruptions or demands. Must maintain strict confidentiality requirements. Must be able to type proficiently, and have intermediate skills in Micro soft office programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required
High school diploma or equivalency
Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
Good interpersonal skills in dealing with patients, families, co-workers, other departments and health care professionals
Intermediate knowledge in computer use, including word processing and spreadsheet applications
Excellent organizational skills

Preferred
Experience working in Risk, Quality, or Credentialing areas of Hospital Services
CPR/BLS Healthcare Certification
