Major/Essential Duties of Job

Provide administrative support and assistance including answering phones and screening calls, filing, preparing and formatting correspondence and reports, preparing and proofing printed materials, overseeing the distribution of bulk mailings, and routing mail to appropriate offices.Supervise day-to-day functions of the Innovation Management office. Serve as a professional, welcoming presence to the office. Act as personal assistant to the director and assist all staff when needed. Coordinate arrangements for meetings, web meetings, meals, appointments, conferences, travel, travel reimbursements, and office supplies ordering and maintenance. Perform data entry and database management as needed. Operate scanner and other devices for input/conversion of data to new or existing files. Retrieve, prepare, and/or maintain materials for posting on the Internet, office errands if needed.

Occasional Duties

Other job related duties as required.

Required Education:
Bachelor's degree or any equivalent combination of training and experience (eight years experience with high school graduation or four years with an Associate degree).

Preferred Education:
Bachelor's degree.

Required Experience:
Two years of experience in office administration or project management.

Preferred Experience:
Experience within the Texas A&M System.

Required licenses, certifications, or registrations:

Preferred licenses, certifications, or registrations:
Certified Administrative Professional (CAP).

Required special knowledge, abilities, and skills:
Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software programs. Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills. Ability to plan and organize effectively. Ability to use standard office equipment and personal computers. Ability to multi task and work cooperatively with others.
