Performs confidential secretarial and other general clerical duties requiring experience, skill, and knowledge of organization policies and processes.
Exercises discretion and independent judgment to accomplish assigned tasks.
Record, compile, transcribe and distribute Minutes of meetings.
Troubleshoot administrative problems and inquiries.
Schedules and maintains calendar of appointments, meetings and travel itineraries, and coordinates related arrangements.
Prepares invoices, reports, memos, letters, financial statements and other documents, using word processing, spreadsheet, database or presentation software.
Assists in the research and compilation of data and preparation of reports and/or presentation materials.
Maintain electronic and hard copy filing system.
Pulls and prepares charts for the next day's patient schedule with paperwork affixed to chart.
Prepares new patient charts as needed.
Greets patients and visitors in a courteous and timely manner and resolves routine and some complex inquiries.
Registers patients and enters all patients' demographic information into the computer accurately and in a timely basis.
Verifies and collects insurance and referral information from the patient and collects co-payments (if necessary).
Secures authorizations for surgeries, office/clinic procedures and hospital stays which may include MRI, CT Scans, etc.
At least five years of experience as an administrative assistant. Proficient in various software packages, to include Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc. Associate's Degree or above.
