Nielsen is a global information and measurement company with leading market positions in marketing and consumer information, television and other media measurement, online intelligence, mobile measurement, trade shows and related properties. We currently have an opening for an Administrative Assistant on our Public Affairs team.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Manage the administrative needs of senior level leaders in Government and Public Affairs
  • Document preparation & formatting
  • Support processing of invoices
  • Manage procurement needs (supplies, purchasing, policies)
  • Facilitate communications in support of Public Affairs initiatives (New York and national)
  • Coordinate information sharing with regional office colleagues from Public Affairs standpoints
  • Support the updating of global information (distribution lists, calendars, templates)
  • Handle travel arrangements, travel expense reports
  • Support the development of public affairs newsletter
  • Maintain listing of external recognitions to Nielsen (and facilitate its posting to public site and intranet)
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2+ years in an administrative role, preferably supporting an executive
  • Strong knowledge of Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
  • Familiarity and knowledge of media technology and terminology
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience handling confidential data
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
