This position serves as the initial contact and resource at the front desk of the School of Medicine Curriculum, Student Affairs and Financial Aid administrative offices. This position requires learning, knowledge and application of the School of Medicine policies and procedures. Responsibilities: Answer phones and greet customers; ask routine questions to determine needed resources, make referrals, and provide information on basic policies, procedures, office services and programs. Provide administrative support to the Senior Associate Dean for Undergraduate Medical Education as well as Assistant and Associate Deans of Student Affairs/Curriculum and the Director of the Curriculum Office. Tend to all assignments, projects and duties for day-to-day operations and events as needed. Complete general office operations, including opening and closing of the administrative office, copying, filing, faxing and other general clerical functions to support the operations of the office. Schedule appointments for administrative staff as needed. Answer questions related to room reservation procedures and guidelines. Maintain the scheduling process for the academic spaces in the McGlothian Medical Education Center. Coordinates room scheduling for M-1 and M-2 Block Schedules. Maintain neat and professional reception/front office area. Work independently, perform daily routine tasks without being reminded, follow direction, etc. Other duties as assigned by faculty and staff in the School of Medicine Curriculum, Student Affairs and Financial Aid administrative offices.

Minimum Qualifications

Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. Ability to manage several schedules simultaneously. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work with diverse populations. Good oral and written communication skills. Excellent telephone skills. Ability to enter data into software with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Knowledge of the University. Ability to work independently and take initiative in a very busy, sometimes hectic, work environment. Ability to work within deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. AssociateĆ¢??s Degree or higher preferred. Several years of experience as a support staff member is preferred.
