Administrative Assistant needed to provide administrative support for the Directors of College Relations programs in the Dean's Office - Veterinary Medicine. This position is responsible for running reports, assisting with events, creating spreadsheets, data entry, mail merges, proofreading and editing documents for typographical errors, assisting with reception duties to include answering telephones using professional telephone skills, and other general office duties. Handles gift receipt, entry, acknowledgement and tracking for Veterinary Memorial Fund, and maintains appropriate confidentiality as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
Successful candidate must have previous experience providing administrative support in an academic or professional office environment; proficiency using various office software such as Microsoft Office; experience with computer functions such as word processing, spreadsheets, and email; strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects in priority order; ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities; ability to work independently while functioning as a team member; strong professional interpersonal and communications skills for positive interactions with both external and internal clients; excellent judgment and diplomacy skills; must be able to provide excellent customer service via telephone or in person.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with large relational databases such as Banner; previous event planning experience.
