Qualifications Summary:
Associate’s degree (AA/AS) and at least 6 months of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidate must possess excellent written and oral communication skills; effectively multitask while maintaining attention to detail; have strong customer service and problem-solving abilities; and be a team player. Qualified applicant will have demonstrated excellent computer skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook) and internet navigation, and overall organization and administrative skills (maintaining office supply inventory, use of fax and copy machines and meeting coordination, etc.). Experience using Salesforce software is preferred but not required.

Job Description Summary:
Under the supervision of the Executive Assistant, this position is responsible for greeting clients and human subjects/study participants and research staff both on the phone and in person, and assisting in various administrative capacities. Under the direction of the President and CEO, and the Executive Assistant, this position will provide clerical support for fundraising programs and events to promote medical research for veterans. Greets visitors, ascertains nature of business, and directs visitors to appropriate person. Answers incoming phone calls on main line and gives information to callers or routes call to appropriate contact and places outgoing calls. Retrieves and sorts incoming mail and deliveries. Files correspondence and other records. Assists in managing and scheduling conference room calendars. Assists with compiling business and contact data and updating databases. Manages and updates contact list to promote fundraising efforts. Prepares, sends, and follows up with bulk mailings for fundraising efforts. Drafts development-related communication. Corresponds with point of contact for development-related website updates. Initiates fundraising related website postings on other special interest and social media websites. Closely collaborates with point of contact on any event planning task. Attends offsite marketing and fundraising events on occasion; provides assistance with event registration, etc. Operates various pieces of office equipment such as multi-line telephone system, facsimile machine, photocopier, scanner, calculator, personal computer and printer. Backs up Executive Assistant in administration tasks. May perform additional duties as required.
