The Office of General Counsel at the University of Indianapolis is accepting applications for an Administrative Assistant. This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position.
This is a highly responsible position providing administrative and paralegal assistance, clerical support, and secretarial services to the University’s General Counsel. This position will also assist the Richard G. Lugar Academy with overall administrative support.

Required Education/Experience/Skills (Minimum Qualifications)
High school diploma required and three to five years experience as an administrative assistant/paralegal. Bachelor’s degree (degree in paralegal studies a plus) and experience in legal arena preferred. Additionally the successful candidate will interact and communicate positively with students, faculty, staff, parents, trustees, and the community in a positive and helpful manner; possess advanced organizational skills; prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints while maintaining a high level of attention to detail; screen calls, visitors, and mail; coordinate meetings and event planning, including preparing agendas and contacting participants; work with confidential and sensitive information; assist with budgetary and expense reports and monitoring; use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to produce letters, forms, reports, and documents with speed and accuracy; use technology to manage calendars and electronic communications; prepare and update spreadsheets of all ongoing legal matters; draft and/or proofread legal documents, investigation reports, correspondence, etc.; manage all received subpoenas, document collection, etc.; conduct basic legal research; and perform other duties as assigned.
