Performs a variety of computer, clerical, and supply functions necessary for the operation of the nursing unit. Responsibilities include handling and controlling written and verbal communications between nursing unit, personnel and numerous physicians, ancillary services, patients, visitors and families, and the organization of the patient medical record.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Customer Service skills are required
- Experience is preferred
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High School graduate. Successful completion of Administrative Associate training or previous medical secretary/medical records experience in a hospital or clinic setting preferred. Medical terminology preferred. Computer experience required, Meditech experience preferred. Strong organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills required. Must have the ability to multi-task.
